‘It is very foolish to shut oneself into any wardrobe.’
This has been one of my favourite stories ever since I was little and I had not even read the book but I knew the story and had seen television and film adaptations. I think most people know this story without having read the original book but as a keen reader I wanted to read the story as C.S. Lewis wrote it. I have always loved Lucy’s character and in fact, when I was little, I wanted to BE Lucy. Reading the original story has just made me love it more because C.S. Lewis has included lots of smaller details and explanations about Narnia which made the whole thing that bit more magical and real. This is and forever will be one of my all-time favourite stories. To learn more about why and C.S. Lewis wrote the story, please read my full review here.
