Mini – Review: The Anxiety Solution | Chloe Brotheridge

The Anxiety Solution is your roadmap to a calmer, happier and more confident you.’

FullSizeRender (5)I first saw this book on Penguin Platform’s (part of Penguin publishing group) Instagram account. I was immediately attracted to the title and the look of the book. It did not look at all patronising or condescending and I felt that that may be an indicator of the content being the same. I was totally right. Chloe Brotheridge has suffered from anxiety since her teens and knows the struggle. She has written this book because she wants to share her story and the techniques that she has used to overcome her anxiety to help other people. Chloe is unafraid to share her story and I liked that with each idea she talked about, she shared how that has impacted her personally. There are corresponding exercises interspersed throughout the text which offer the reader a chance to have a go at the technique Chloe has just been talking about and many of the exercises help you to look at yourself and see how and why your anxiety is affecting you. The back of the book contains more of these exercises and other ideas to help overcome your anxiety; this section is called the ‘Anxiety Solution Toolkit’ and I loved it. This book really is more of a ‘Solution’ to anxiety rather than a scientific look which made it feel more productive. One of my favourite things about this book is how positive it is. Chloe constantly offers words of encouragement and support and makes you feel so uplifted and powerful. I would emphatically recommend this book to any anxiety sufferer.
