Something that you may or may not know is that I used to have a different blog: http://www.itsaliterarylife.wordpress.com. This blog is still up but I will not be active on it anymore. All of the content is still there, but I have also moved a lot of it over to this blog. I started my old blog at the beginning of my gap year because I knew I wanted to spend the year reading lots of books and I thought why not review them as well. Blogging is something I had never done before and as I’m pretty rubbish with technology I thought it could be fun and give myself a bit of a challenge and a creative outlet at the same time. Additionally, as so much of the world is online now, I thought it could be a good idea to create something for myself, to show what I can do whilst keeping it related to my interests.

However, once getting to uni I quickly realised that I would have little time for reading for pleasure and therefore very very few book reviews would get written and posted. My blog became very neglected and I was not really sure what to do with it from there. But as part of one of my modules for semester two at uni we had to write blog posts about the plays and films we studied. These posts were much shorter and quicker to write and I quickly remembered how much I enjoy blogging.

I began thinking about all of the things I could write about and I had an urge to get blogging again. The problem was, I could not see a way to transform my old blog, with its name and existing content, from a blog purely about literature into something more personal. So I decided that a brand new blog was needed and I could not be more excited about this. I am looking forward to playing around with the design of my blog and deciding what I want to write about as well as hopefully being able to write more as it will not require reading a whole book first.

I cannot promise exactly what will feature on this blog, but I want it to be filled with things that I am passionate about and I want to feel enthused about my writing. I hope that when people I know look at my blog they will be able to see my personality in it and will feel that it is very much personal to me.

There is already some content from my old blog on here for you to explore and I cannot wait to get writing some more blog posts.
